Microsoft Hyper-V contributes to green savings |
Dacoll deliver first installation of Microsoft Hyper-V to Scottish charity as part of a major virtualisation project. The charity has reduced hardware and support costs by virtualising the estate enabling further recurring saving to be achieved through power usage reductions. The originally 24 servers were consolidated to 4 servers using MS Hypervisor on HP Blades. The reduction of power consumption by up to 83% also contributes to achieving green (Carbon Footprint) efficiency targets.
